Sad phone call

today was going well, when I got online and my mom caught me on the messenger and asked me to call her. This morning my aunt passed away, and I'm heartbroken. I just started my new job last week so I don't know if they will give me the time off work to be able to attend the funeral or not. I'm really hoping that since i just started and am still training that it won't be a problem to be able to go.

grumpy butt!

My daughter just came home from her dad's house for Thanksgiving and she is grumpy because he made her bring her cat home because it had gotten pregnant there and he didn't want to deal with her getting pregnant and so he sent her home. Problem at home is she is a bird killer and with 2 parrots in the house we can't have a cat in the house, so she is an outside cat. Now I have a teen who is upset because her cat is outside, not considering it was a barn cat at her dad's house and was outside about 90% of the time there, which is how she got pregnant in the first place. When the cat was here no matter how much you cleaned the litter box she still sprayed here and I can't have that here. Now I'm a bad mother because i won't let her cat in the house to pee and kills my bird and her bird. I'm sorry but i just can't do it.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving a time for giving thanks. I just found out that my Aunt was told the other day that she has less than 6 months to live. On top of that my mom is battling her cancer and my sister won't even talk to her or my aunt or anyone else on that side of the family. When my mom asked me to call my sister and tell her, she (my sister) acted like it was no big deal to hear that our aunt had very little time to live. I just don't understand heartless people.

I got a JOB!!

I'm so excited! I went for a post op check up with my doctor and I was telling her I was worried about going back to work because of some of the stuff that had been going on and she said why don't you talk to our office manager about working here because we are looking for help here in the office. So after I got home I called the office manager and spoke with her and set up an interview for today. I was so nervous. They wanted an LPN to do this job and I am only a CNA so I still went in with a smile and about 45 minutes later (we were gabby) I was hired and at a $2/ hr wage increase. YEAH I am beyond happy. As soon as I left I went to the hospital and gave my position up it felt so good. I am off from the hospital for 2 more weeks (doc said no lifting), but I have a feeling I'll be starting in her office working as soon as next week.

on the lookout for a new job

Things haven't been going well at work so I'm on the lookout for a new decent paying job. I've got less than 2 weeks before I go back after surgery and I hope to at least have some leads and interviews set up by the time I go back to work.
